As the leaves fall and the air gets cooler, the Ottawa Power Wheelchair Hockey League gears up for the upcoming season! There is always a ton of excitement as coaches, volunteers and players look forward to this new beginning!
Last season was definitely a memorable one! The Bears, who finished the regular season with a record of 7 - 7 - 4 turned their season around and won the Eric Jamieson Memorial Cup! The Wolves took the silver medal, after spending most of the season in 1st place with a 10 - 7 - 1 record. In third place, taking the bronze medal were the Gators with a 9 - 6 - 3 season. The Sharks placed 4th, their record was 3 - 9 - 6.
What will the 7th season bring? Will the Bears take the Cup again? Will the Sharks take a bite out of their competitors? Can the Gators swim past the others? Will we hear the Wolves howl back to the top?
Along with our league games and extended playoffs (new this season), the OPWHL will be hosting our annual Celebrity Game and our Awards Banquet. This summer we will be hosting the 2017 Nationals!
